Ladysmith Alterations

The existing Victorian terraced house in South Edinburgh suffered from a split level between kitchen outshot, the dining space and a significant drop to the garden level. Proposals involved raising both the floor and roof to the outshot, as well as making the connection to the dining space more generous and better connected. Externally, a new terrace bring garden storage below, but allows a new sliding door opening from the kitchen to spill out as an eating/ relaxing space. The terrace enjoys the first and last of the sun as well as views to Arthur’s Seat beyond.
