Calum Duncan Architects provided an exceptional service when we employed their services to redesign our house. Their creativity, attention to detail and considerate approach were all valued and appreciated throughout the process and we are delighted with the end result. We would have no hesitation in recommending their work.

Calum’s role as Lead Architect for Malcolm Fraser Architects began at appointment stage in 2009 when the project was won through an invited design competition by the University of Edinburgh. We had an excellent working relationship with the project team led by Calum, which included considerable consultations not only with the user group, but with the numerous University stakeholders, which were well managed. Prior to construction on site, considerations was also given to working on a live campus and the complex on site issues were dealt with timeously. We would be pleased to work with Calum Duncan again in the future and would highly recommend his architectural services, especially where the client’s ambition is for a carefully considered and sustainable design.

I would not hesitate to recommend Calum Duncan Architects. They designed and project managed an extension and internal remodelling to our house. We are delighted with the design and finished project, it does not look or feel like the same house. They have incorporated some really creative and thoughtful ideas into the design. We never would have imagined our previously ugly house could look so good!

Calum Duncan Architects provided a very thorough, considered service, from initial design conception, planning stages, build and through to completion. It was particularly helpful having the regular/weekly input and meetings with an architect during the build stages, to ensure that proper procedures and processes were being adhered to by the builder. During this stage there are a lot of unfamiliar aspects to the build, so it was really helpful and reassuring to have them checking this and making sure everything, including costs, were under control.

We are very happy with our finished work, and would thoroughly recommend CDA services for their considerations of client’s needs, innovative and quality design approaches, attention to detail and client support.

Jane Miller, Edinburgh

Calum Duncan Architects created  a number of thought provoking designs, incorporating colour advice, clever internal detailing, choice of materials, and all with  careful  consideration on cost and the building’s particular use. We are very pleased with the end result which has undoubtedly improved the ambience and visitor experience to the Signalbox.
