New Town

This Category B Listed apartment in Edinburgh’s New Town had been altered previously, leaving a complicated lobby arrangement left the kitchen isolating from other living spaces. We reviewed the condition and historic aspects of the apartment, before developing, in line with the client’s desire to make an open and well connected Living/ Dining/ Kitchen space on the sunny and more public side of the property. The Hallway is rationalised, integrating a Study space. To improve the atmosphere and visual appearance of the Study Space, the WC has been concealed behind a joiner made secret bookcase door. A new bedroom, to the former kitchen, includes a new private En Suite bathroom.
